Vegas comes to Edinburgh

Edinburgh has a new Casino and Hotel and it is being billed as a Vegas style Super Casino.

Casino Rose, Edinburgh had its Grand opening on 15th December.  The Casino, which has been built into the existing buildings on the west side of Albany Street, hosted many high profile guests who attended the opening party.  Kasper Rose, Owner of the Casino Chain, was there to cut the gold ribbon and welcome everyone to his newest and biggest Casino, surrounded by pyrotechnics and entertainers.

The casino is state of the art, boasting the latest slot machines, quality play tables and a largest range of casino games to ensure everyone has a fun time.  It also has plans to host a number of tournaments on the professional circuit along with monthly tournaments for locals to take part in.

As it is a based upon Vegas be ready for quality entertainment to also be on offer, a 200 seat auditorium has been designed with perfect acoustics to give performances to remember.   There is expectations that the casino may draw acts never before to have played in Scotland.

To go alongside the Casino is a Luxury hotel compromising of 100 rooms including 10 suites and a penthouse has been built.  It also includes a classic drinks bar in the reception along with an exclusive Whisky Bar for private members of the Casino.

Mr Rose took questions from the press at the opening and told us

“I am so happy to finally have opened such a magnificent casino in Edinburgh.  It will be a jewel in the city and provide jobs and entertainment to many in the area.”

On security and safety he told the press

“we have a system in place to protect our staff and our patrons.  Highly trained security personnel are hired to ensure that everyone has a fun yet safe time.  We take a zero tolerance approach to anyone who attempts to break the law or cheat the house.”

When asked about the concerns that casino cause gambling problems

“It is an unfortunate issue that we take extremely seriously, we have always worked with Gamble Aware and provide literature to those who may need it.

We also believe in helping in the local community and actively seek local charities to donate to.  We wish that we can become another part of Edinburgh’s amazing heritage. “

It was revealed that the casino had made significant donations to various charities in Edinburgh including St Columba’s hospice, The Equality Network And Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

Although the Ebola outbreak had resulted in lower numbers of attendees, there were still many guests of note, including various MP’s, MSP’s, local celebrities and even the famous fashion designer V made his return to the city for the event.
