Unseasonably cold weather that has been unpredictable has caused chaos for transport and business around Scotland.
The MET office has issued many yellow and red warnings to many parts of the country that have been affected by high winds and freezing temperatures. A spokesperson said
“It is always hard to predict these events as fluctuation of the pressure systems at this time year can cause snap effects in localised areas. We predict it to stabilise in the next few weeks”
The freezing temperatures have caused major traffic incidents to occur, drivers are advised to use caution.
There have been fears of snow causing further chaos but so far there has been no sign of snowfall.
Before travelling please consult the met office website for any possible issues.
