A string of wildfires has swept through some of Scotland’s most picturesque countryside has left conservationists fearful of high damage to the plant and wildlife.
These wildfires have cropped up in many places including wood near Broxburn, Perth and Thurso.
The damage has been controlled as much as possible, but these areas will need time to regrow.
There has been concerns that these fires could have been deliberately started. Police have started an investigation after a forestry commission investigation raised questions.
