Thanks to investment in the Leith area, tourism to the area has grown considerably over the past few months.
Renovation works have been underway to buildings attractions in the area to help modernise them. New signages and investment in pubs and clubs in the area along with new housing projects to replace old run-down housing.
Edinburgh council has also been seen to put more investment into the area’s infrastructure, even during these austere times, cleaning the streets and improving transport options.
A spokesperson for the council told us
“Leith has always had a lot going for it as a tourist area and Edinburgh Council has seen that investment in such areas increases business investment and leads to a thriving community. We are happy that investment by private companies have allowed for affordable and modern housing ot be built in the area too.”
