Riots in Leeds

Unfortunately, it seems that some have taken the Prime Minister’s relaxation efforts as an excuse for riot and anti-social behaviour.  Specifically, in Leeds where riots and fires have rocked the city and caused structural damage in centre town.

“Very disappointing,” said a visibly dejected mayor, Eileen Taylor, “we have all struggled through the hardships of the lockdown and as soon as we see some progress, some would take it upon themselves to ruin the city for all of us.”

And try they did.  For some had tried a very dangerous stunt of letting of fireworks in the Mayhew chemical factory in Leeds which would have caused far more damage had there not been a quick response by emergency services.

The Envoy will continue to report more on this story as it develops.
