Saving the Trees

The Edinburgh Academy has launched a citywide competition in association with the local charity , The Conservation Volunteers to tackle the rising issues for the environment caused by deforestation.  And the enthusiasm shown by the student has been noted as phenomenal.

“Its so touching to see in times like this,” said chief officer Paul Wilson on behalf of the charity, “ that children see examples set by people like Greta Thunberg and so enthusiastically want to do their part for the environment.”
The competition is a creative writing piece set at a 1000 word limit on the theme of trees.  With the top 10 being selected at the end of this month and the winner being selected by Mr Wilson in early November.

We at the Envoy wish all entrants well.
