Strength Skills

Brawl; Call your ESR in subdual damage as you strike enemies with your fists, or if you have Protean 2  you may use that ability to call your ESR in aggrevated damage instead. The ESR may be improved by use of Potence, increasing the ESR by your Potence rating at the cost of 1 blood for the combat scene.  This spend covers both Melee -and- Brawl at the same time.

Melee; Call your ESR, plus any modifiers that the weapon gives you, in either Physical or Subdual damage depending on the weapon used. Any weapon used in your off-hand will sufer a -1 penalty to the damage called unless you have the Ambidexterity Merit. A subdual weapon, such as a club or staff, deals extra damage based on its length; Less than 12” gives +1 bonus, 12” to 36” gives a +2 bonus, and weapons over 36” in length give a +3 bonus. Physical weapons, such as axes and blades, deal extra damage based on length as well; Less than 12” gives no bonus, 12” to 36” gives a +1 bonus, and weapons over 36” give a +2 bonus. [Note; A weapon of 36” or over is considered to be two handed, but may be used in a single hand while providing a smaller bonus – for instance, a 40” weapon can be used one-handed, but provide only a +1 phys or +2 sub weapon]

Use of Melee skill 4 (or higher) and Strength 4 (or higher) allow you to call a Decapitate or Dismember call once per combat, when using a Physical weapon of at least 12”. Only one such call may be used by you in a single combat scene. (You must also drop out of Celerity or Obfuscate in order to use this special call)

Additionally, you may increase your Melee ESR by your Potence rating for the cost of one blood per combat scene. This spend covers both Melee -and- Brawl at the same time.
